Western stretch of the old wall surrounding the city, located in Calle Cairuan, extending from the Puerta de Almodovar to Avenida Doctor Fleming.
Created in the expansion of the Augustan Corduba Romana (second half of the first century BC) was later turned into a wall of the Medina Caliphate and in defense of the Christian town, with successive reconstructions throughout the centuries.
Currently, one preserve a stretch of about 360 m, with seven towers and the Puerta de Almodovar.
