"Centro Ciudades Patrimonio Mundial" is an agency of the Junta de Castilla and Leon. Following the recommendations of UNESCO and Development Plan PAHIS of Heritage Castilla and Leon 2004-2012, has promoted the creation of this center of documentation, study and research on World Heritage Cities, through collaboration agreements with various institutions like the Heritage Cities of Spain Group or University Institute of Urban Planning of the University of Valladolid.
In addition to research work and dissemination, the Center's mission is to promote the meeting and exchange of experiences between the various actors and institutions involved in preserving the outstanding universal value, in order to generate appropriate action planning instruments to address this major challenge.
