The Baltschiedergletscher consists of two independent parts of a dissociated glacier north of Visp at the end of the valley called Baltschiedertal. The impressing "Aussere Baltschiedergletscher" is embedded between the magnificent mountains Bietschhorn, Aelwer Rigg, Breitlauihorn and Jagihorn.
